How to overcome recession when you're only a teenager with little power?
School has constantly notified and updated us of the terrible recession affecting our lives as well as our parents. During such desperate times, we need to resort to desperate measures that even require us, teenagers to lend a helping hand. So, instead of lying around and leaving only your parents to panic about their money get up and listen closely to our advice that will enable you to help your school and parents. Since we're teenagers, Shalom and I have already tried to keep this a little light!
Advice on saving money! (For parents)
When it comes to helping your parents, it concerns not emptying their wallets but spending appropriately, using electrical and water-related appliances much less from now on. Some of them may be jobless right now and are unable to find a suitable job, or maybe have even wasted all their hard-earned money in their deteriorating shares. Hence, since they have pampered us from young so now we should repay some of that kindness by heeding the useful advice we have below. Hopefully after reading these tips you can learn to be thriftier and contribute more to your family's bills decreasing and their bank accounts increasing.
1. Spend on what you need like food instead of what you want like video games I know you guys love them but just for this period of time!
2. Don't buy food from outside too much; buy from your school canteen more often because the food's cheap!
3. Keep the high cost of electrical bills at bay by not playing your Playstation 3/ Portable or switching on your air-conditioning just for the sake of leisure.4.
Save up and use your own pocket money to buy items you really like instead of digging deep in your parents' wallet for extra cash.
5. If you don't want your water supply to run out one day, we suggest you take method to save water by turning on taps to a slower blast and using half-flush for toilets. This in turn might keep your water bills lower.
6. Please take a shower when you come home after school, this will prevent you from getting awful skin diseases or pimples, which I guess everyone, hates them because it makes you look ugly!
This in turn will help your parents save time and money to get you to see a skin doctor due to the doctor's bill.7. Please don't go to far off in idolizing a celebrity like into giving presents to them because some people do and most probably they will give it to someone else! After you finished using your pocket money, just by giving presents to him/her, you will have to go after your parents' wallets for more money again.8. Remember, money is an important part of our living; otherwise we wouldn't have bread on the table. So, please take these tips to heart and do something for your parents?
Well, we guess that you might be waiting agonisingly for the end of this extremely long blog post. It sounds like a nagging essay, doesn't it? However, please stay glued to your seat, we have one more part in store. Now, its time to help our schools in this economic uncertainty!
1. Hey, I know some of you guys love complaining on your canteen food like how expensive it is and how bad the food is! However, the food in our canteens are cheaper compared to the ones outside, as for the food, we should forsake some of our "high taste" for food!
2. Stop all your vandalism on your desks or chairs because the school will have to change it every now and then.
3. If the school has to change schools and chairs, lesser funds will be there to build cool facilities or even upgrade our school computers! That could be bad.
4. Hey guys don't start on a rampage and destroying anything just for your own leisure, others would like to have more upgrades to their school!
Ready for more… Just joking! As we promised, there is no more other to our blog post, but going to have to start doing the tips now or we'll come back with more!
